About Calligraphics

Paul Veres entered the world of font design through calligraphy and graphic design, which he had both practiced and taught. It is for this reason that he continued to use the name Calligraphics for his foundry. Without formal training in type, he learned through much trial and error, resulting in his first font, Aperto. There are now 5 additional fonts available through MyFonts.com of formal and informal styles. He lives in Berkeley, California, where his day job is teaching art in a suburban high school.
